PODCAST nr. ONE: How I move through difficult emotions
Hello earth wanderers,
Today I am doing something that slightly scares me as I have never recorded a podcast before. I have had the inclination lately to share more and go even deeper. My intuition has been giving me pings almost daily that I should start sharing the deeper stuff in life - so here it is. I could have made it into a youtube video but I love the fact that I can record these podcasts in my PJ’s in the middle of the night and not have to worry about the lighting and all of that. It gives me much more freedom to share right in the moments inspiration strikes.
The process I’ll be guiding you guys through today is the one I use when I feel triggered or emotionally upset about something. It’s also the process I guide my private coaching clients through.

Here’s an outline of the process I follow:
Become aware of what situation in your day triggered the particular emotion that you are feeling currently
Tap into the somatic experience of that emotion - in other words what does the emotion feel like on a physical level in your body?
Stay present with those feelings as they transform and shift. Once things have settled a bit trace back through your memory bank: when did you first feel this same way in your life? What is your earliest memory of this sensation?
Reparent yourself: imagine your adult self stepping into the memory you have of yourself as a child and meet your child-self’s needs.
Once your inner child is comforted and is being met in their needs, ask them if they want to merge with the adult self.
This is basically the process of putting yourself back together like Teal Swan calls is.
